Cycling tournament were held in Kabul to celebrate world environment day. More than 100 cyclists took part in the tournament from Olympic to Band-e-Qargha.

2nd round of women’s athletics national team competitions started today in Kabul. The competitions are held in 100, 200, 300, 400, 800, 1500 m distance with the participation of 60 athletes from Herat, Kandahar, Mazar, Daikundi amd Kabul in Kabul Stadium. At the end, top 18 athletes will be selected for Women Athletics National team.

The 4th round women’s handball national team competitions started in Kabul. The competitions are held for one week in three age categories among 80 female players from Sar-e-Pul , Balkh, Herat, Daikundi, Bamyan and Kabul  provinces aiming to get a member of handball national team.

Dr. Yonus popalzay, the Secretary-General of the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee met with the Secretary-General of the Uzbekistan Olympic as well with the Secretary-general of the tennis federation, president of the Taekwondo federation, and officials of the volleyball federation of Uzbekistan. Afghanistan National Olympic Committee honored the organizing committee of the 10th round of the national women’s basketball competitions and the champion team of the competitions.

Mohammad Reza Firozkohi , a member of Afg national athletic team won a silver medal at Baghban Bashi international Atletic competitions in Iran.
