The Afghanistan National Olympic Committee held the boxing tournament in Nangarhar province under the name of Dr Tetsu Nakamura Cup to commemorate his service in Afghanistan.
The tournament was held between Kabul and Nangarhar teams with the presence of Dr. Hafizullah Wali Rahimi, the elected President of the National Olympic Committee, his accompanying delegation and the Governor of Nangarhar, shah Mahmmod Miakhail and the Kabul team won the championships, which happened in three different weights .
At the end of the competition, the President of the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee appreciated the representatives and coaches of the boxing federation and presented the cups and the certificates of appreciation to the athletes who competed in the tournament
