The 2020 first meeting of Afghanistan National Olympic Committee’s Executive Board held in Kabul.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Hafizullah Wali Rahimi, the elected president of Afghanistan National Olympic Committee and was attended by all members of the executive board to discuss the activities of last year and the plans for 2020.
Dr. Hafizullah Wali Rahimi as part of Olympics’ activities in 2019 mentioned about the achievements, the signing of national and international agreements, the development of the National Olympic Committee’s relations with various sporting institutions throughout the region and the world, and said that one of the effective initiative in sport sector in 2019 is the creation of transparent biometric system which the athletes who has the membership of their federations and National teams can receive their monthly amount through M-Paisa system.
On the other hand, Dr. Yonus popalzay, secretary-general of the National Olympic Committee, provided complementary information on national and international events sponsored by the Afghanistan NOC.
The meeting also discussed the financial expenses of year 2019, the financial plan of the year 2020, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, competitions and sports development programs of the country.
