Afghanistan National Olympic Committee will soon launch and sponsor Nakamura’s Championship Cup in various sports to honor Dr Testsu Nakamura, a Japanese aid worker and his contributions to Afghanistan .
Afghanistan National Olympic Committee aim to appreciate the dedication of Nakamura who spent most of his adult life to working in Afghanistan, trying to save lives at times as a physician and at times as a mason, building water canals for people affected by drought.
Nakamura was known as uncle Murad in Afghanistan and recently had received an honorary Afghan citizenship in October month.
